Safety Culture: Give Positive Feedback
✨Ohlala!✨ That’s what it sounds like when our CEO, Erik Matton, asks the question: How does it feel to receive positive feedback?
Changing a safety culture may seem complicated. But if you focus on what has the greatest impact, any organization can make tremendous strides. Behavior-based safety is a structured, scientific method that helps organizations shift from reactive to proactive management of their safety culture.
To get started and give it a try, here’s what you can do:
1. Identify a work task where you face recurring risks.
2. Specify a few safe behaviors that you must perform 100% of the time to ensure an accident never occurs.
3. Remove barriers and create favorable conditions for these safe behaviors.
4. REINFORCE these safe behaviors as often and as much as you can. Check out what Erik does in the video for inspiration! 🚀
Thank you , Prevent – Workplace Environment in Collaboration, for the trust you’ve placed in us to assist with the invaluable dissemination of knowledge regarding safety culture and Behavior-Based Safety!
