Development of leaders and executive teams
Strengthen your organisation's leadership
Leadership is one of the most critical factors in an organisation’s success. Through our leadership development programmes for leaders and executive teams, we equip your leaders with the tools and knowledge needed to tackle today’s challenges, inspire their teams, and lead the organisation toward future growth.
Because every organisation is unique, we tailor our solutions to meet your specific needs. Whether it’s about developing leadership skills for new managers, improving the collaboration and effectiveness of your leadership team, or equipping leaders to face the challenges of the future, we help you achieve your goals and build long-term, sustainable success.

Evidence-based approaches to leadership development
Our leadership development initiatives are based on research in Organizational Behavior Management (OBM), behavior-based leadership, and transformational leadership—evidence-based methods that produce measurable results. Through our research collaborations, we have identified which leadership behaviors have the greatest impact on employee behavior, as well as how these behaviors should be practiced to become more integrated into the leader’s daily routine.
Through behaviour-based leadership, we provide leaders with tools to influence and reinforce specific behaviours among their employees using positive reinforcement and effective feedback. At the same time, transformational leadership focuses on inspiring and motivating employees to reach their full potential. Research shows that combining these approaches leads to increased engagement, higher performance, and a stronger workplace culture.
Step 1: Study
The development process begins with us establishing the organisation’s overall goals and the desired outcomes related to leadership or executive team development. We identify the specific situations, departments, or groups that have the greatest impact on these outcomes. In this step, we define which leadership behaviours need to be reinforced and which competing behaviours should be reduced in order to achieve the goals.
Step 2: Analyse
The next step involves observing and measuring how often the defined leadership behaviours are currently performed, in order to establish a baseline measure. Through behavioural analysis, we gain deeper insights into how leadership behaviours can be influenced and reinforced. At the same time, we ensure that the organisation has the right conditions in place for new behaviours to take root and become sustainable over the long term.
Based on these insights, we create an action plan that serves as the foundation for the leadership development initiative.
Step 3: Forward
In this step, we implement the development initiative through customised training, leadership development, ongoing coaching, and mentoring. The foundation is behaviour-based leadership, OBM, and the Full Range Leadership Model. The goal is to enhance the leadership behaviours that have the greatest impact on the desired results. At the same time, we work to reduce competing behaviours that may hinder progress.
Step 4: Evaluate
In the final step, we evaluate the impact of the initiative. We analyse whether leadership behaviours have increased to the desired and sustainable level and review key performance indicators linked to the organisation’s goals. For example, we may see improvements in employee surveys, increased efficiency, or other measurable results as a direct outcome of the initiative.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
What is the difference between behaviour-based safety (BBS) and Organisational Behaviour Management (OBM)?
Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) is an approach within OBM where we focus on safety culture by promoting safe behaviours and thereby measurably reducing the number of accidents and near misses. BBS follows the same change process as OBM, with the difference that the goal is specifically to improve safety and strengthen safety culture. Our BBS projects also involve creating favorable conditions for safe behaviours by analysing and influencing organisational, competency-related, and structural factors.
-
Does Organisational Behaviour Management (OBM) work?
Organisational Behaviour Management (OBM) is a practical and 100% evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and changing behaviors that produce desired results. We have helped hundreds of companies and organisations change behaviours related to areas such as sales, customer service, safety, and employee engagement—and have yet to encounter a single case where OBM has not worked.
-

What is Organisational Behaviour Management (OBM)?
Organisational Behaviour Management (OBM) is a concrete and 100% evidence-based approach that focuses on identifying and changing behaviours that produce desired results. By identifying and defining the behaviours that produce desired results, we can accurately create better conditions and reinforce these behaviours, while simultaneously reducing unwanted behaviours that hinder those results. Through behavioral analysis, leaders can learn to influence the motivation behind these behaviours.
-
How does Behaviour Design Group ensure that we achieve the desired impact in our organisation?
To achieve your desired results, we will reinforce the behaviours that have the greatest impact on those results. Our method measures and tracks behavioural changes over time, while also monitoring whether the key performance indicators directly linked to the goals are improving as a result of those behavioural changes. This means we will be able to track improvements through concrete metrics throughout the entire process.
-
How does Behaviour Design Group tailor its services to our needs?
We begin new projects by familiarizing ourselves with the specific assignment at hand, and we have well-developed methods and approaches designed to help us gain a deep understanding of your particular situation and current conditions, as well as to define the goals you wish to achieve. We implement OBM based on our SAFE model, where the first phase—Study—involves identifying the key situations and behaviours that have the greatest impact on the results you want to achieve within your organisation. You can read about completed projects in the Case section.
